I've never had Toffifay (also called Toffifee) candy. This is because, when I was little, its commercial jingle was "Toffifay: it's too good for kids!' So I thought I wasn't allowed to buy it... and never did.

I remember watching Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom as a kid, probably about 6 or 7 years old, and they said that the elephants were making people unhappy by destroying "mangroves". I had no idea what those were, so I thought they were saying "Meringue Groves", and therefore I thought that somehow meringue was harvested from African trees that elephants liked to eat.

Does anybody remember that Skittles ad where the farmer planted Skittles candies in the ground and a rainbow grew out of it? I can tell you by experience that it doesn't work.
